QA Test Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA
Job # 4004987
QA  test engineer resource to lead test efforts on multiple projects.  The projects expected to be assigned include black box texting, oversight of testing done by vendors and non-QA personnel, and some test automation using C#.Net.  It is expected that other testing work may also be assigned as time allows.

The expected skill set includes:
  • Must have extensive experience building test plans, test cases, and managing defects so that they can engage on projects without needing day-to-day guidance.  The resource is likely to be the only formal tester assigned to most projects, and so would be the de-facto test lead.  In other cases, the tester will be expected to provide oversight of vendors as they build and execute their test plans.  The resource must be able to assess progress, risks, and issues in these situations.
  • Must have experience with Visual Studio, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, and Microsoft Test Manager.  This experience should include executing test runs with the Microsoft tool set.
  • Must have experience with writing C#.Net code for testing automation.  Experience using Selenium WebDriver via C# is preferred, but is not required.
  • Must have experience with executing SQL commands to validate data that is written to a database.
  • Experience with both SCRUM and Waterfall SDLC methods.  Previous experience as a SCRUM Master would be preferred, but is not required.
  • exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal).  It is likely there will be a significant amount of direct interaction with business users.
  • 7 years of experience in Software Testing.
