Technical Support

Location: Seattle, WA

Candidate will be tasked with clearing an existing backlog of customer work orders and/or service requests. 
 
The work will consist of the following:
 
-          Technical Support
  Providing support in the installation and ongoing maintenance of PC based technical systems. These systems can comprise hardware equipment (i.e. PCs, laptops, Tablet PCs etc.), software applications (i.e. “off the shelf” office productivity applications or in-house IT developed applications or customized business specific applications etc.) and peripheral devices (PDAs, printers, scanners, etc.).
-          Asset Management
  Reporting of new and old asset information, retrieval and delivery of old assets to designated location.
-          Metrics
  Timely and accurate progress reporting
 
Must be technically proficient and have strong people skills. 
Must be comfortable working on their own and in a business environment. 
Productive and efficient use of time is a priority, as is a professional and friendly demeanor.
May occasionally require secondary work assignments.  
Also possible that the position will require non-standard shifts.
  
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES or OTHER WORK CHARACTERISTICS: 
-          In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems.
-          In-depth knowledge of IBM/Lenovo and Dell hardware.
-          Knowledge of Mac hardware.
-          Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems in a complex client-server environment of Windows networked                                infrastructure.
-          In-depth knowledge of typical PC based peripherals, including (but not limited to) printers, scanners, and external drives.
-          Working knowledge of deployment methodology and reporting from Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
-          Strong customer service skills including phone support.
-          Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
-          Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
-          3 years or more experience in desktop support including laptop/desktop support, preferably in an ITIL environment.
-          Windows operating system certification and/or A+ certification a plus.
-          Experience working in a large organization with multiple sites.
-          Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
-          Must pass a Washington State DMV records check
-          Must pass a  driver qualification exam.

Duration: 3 months
Pay: $28 per hour
