Your responsibilities may include:
  • Recruit and increase new corporate/public agency members that will provide opportunities for ethnic minority business engagements. This includes using different sources for recruiting including supplier lists, national member list, as well as other industry lists.
  • Make recruiting calls to new members and suppliers. Create and maintain a follow up plan with collateral information, presentation, and calls.
  • Communicate business and training opportunities to members and suppliers locally, regionally and nationally that looks to enhance the following goals among our members and suppliers: spend, participation, and retention.
  • Develop, design, and execute retention retaining strategies for current members and suppliers .
  • Evaluate customer industry portfolios and define a mitigation plan to retain members and suppliers.
  • Customize communication and marketing collateral to target specific customers (members/suppliers) in our defined industry clusters.
  • Search, communicate and facilitate identified corporate member opportunities to suppliers
  • Customize and tweak marketing and communication collateral information for new & current member/suppliers in our industry cluster portfolios.
  • Customize marketing collateral for corporate member referral consumption.
  • Draft relevant client communications for activities, resources, and workshops
  • Assist with Industry Portfolio review and define areas of growth as well as tentative type of members and suppliers that will increase the following organization goals: spend, participation, and retention
  • Recruit ethnic minority owned businesses that will act as suppliers to corporate/public agency members.
 

Qualifications:

  • Experience or willing to learn Supplier Diversity practice
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with external customers or B2B.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic
  • Exceptional communicator with strong written grammar skills
  • Competence with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Collaborative team player and comfortable working as a team as well as independently, with guidance work as a team
  • Be able to work with ambiguity and not afraid to ask questions
