  1. Perform a variety of accounting tasks such as maintaining ledgers, reviewing initial entries, providing information for the budgeting process, preparing year-end accruals, and interacting with customers and vendors to resolve complaints and concerns.
  2. Review and analyze specific accounting procedures and systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy of process using GAAP.
  3. Maintain and reconcile assigned accounts and financial systems.
  4. Gather, compile, and prepare financial data, statements, reports, and accompanying explanatory notes in accordance with GAAP and GAAS.
  5. Review reports and documents for compliance with state and federal regulations, contractual agreements, and policies and procedures.
  6. Research and compile financial data related to expenditures, revenues, billing, and collections from various grant/fund sources; may prepare estimates and projections for management.
  7. Reconciliation and analysis of financial data pertaining to revenues and expenditures.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills to include creating macros, using statistical functions, performing horizontal lookups, creating functions and formulas, using pivot tables, auditing and validating data.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
  • Knowledge of and skill in applying various financial and accounting principles, practices and methods
  • Skill in communicating effectively both orally and in writing
  • Skill in maintaining effective working relationships and working with a variety of individuals representing diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Skill in creating complex computerized spreadsheets and word processing documents
  • Skill in adjusting to changing priorities and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Desirable Skills
  • Accounting/Finance Degree
  • Cost accounting experience

Up to 3 months
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Location: Seattle

Pay rate: $28.48 per hour
