Desktop Laptop Refresh Support Technician

2. SCOPE

 Proper configuration and the physical deployment to users of approximately 100 desktops and 50 laptops covered under this project. This position will work closely with the assigned Project Manager to successfully deliver replacement equipment to the users and properly handle the replaced equipment. 
 
will perform :
  • Equipment delivery acceptance and verification from our hardware vendor
  • Inventory tagging of received equipment
  • Initial imaging of replacement equipment
  • Software deployment using approved tools
  • Deployment of properly configured equipment to the users
  • Post deployment support for hardware and software
  • Handling of replaced equipment to prepare for surplus
 

3. REQUIREMENTS

The following section and subsections of the SOW describes the requirements and tasks that shall be accomplished to meet these requirements
• Engagement is contingent on successful completion of a criminal investigation/background check with no felonies
• The temporary help must demonstrate previous work experience in providing technical support in a Government agency
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

3.1 SKILLS

• Excellent verbal and writing skills are essential
• Individual will be organized, upbeat and should be able to consistently deliver on their commitments
• Must demonstrate strong inventory and equipment management experience
• Strong research and methodical troubleshooting skills
 

3.2 WORK EXPERIENCE

• The position must have at least 3 years full-time experience in supporting Windows Desktop Operating Systems. They will have demonstrated expertise in Windows 7 support and troubleshooting along with experience with Windows 10
• Must have demonstrated at least 2 years of experience in using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for imaging and software deployment
• Must have previous experience with BMC TrackIT ticketing and work order software
• Must have demonstrated at least 2 years of experience in using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for imaging and software deployment

3.3 EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Individual should have a post-secondary degree and completion of at least two of the following technical certifications: A+ / Networking+ / Security+/ MCP / MCTS

4. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Individual must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and be able bend and reach under desks. Work hours will be between 7am and 5pm Monday through Friday in an office environment and dress is business-casual
