Administrative Specialist I / Data Entry

DESCRIPTION
Assist director’s office staff with indexing case file boxes.
 
This assignment will entail individual sorting, label and keying data into simple excel worksheets with a high level of accuracy. Ability to lift (assistance is available) boxes onto table to complete the task. Boxes contain between 15 – 30 files. A total of 600 boxes to be indexed.

Typical duties may include: 
 
  • Sort, label and index legal case files located in banker boxes
  • Key alpha and numeric data into excel spreadsheet with speed and accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:
  1. Knowledge of general office procedures, equipment and administration. Familiarity with legal office administration and criminal justice system preferred.
  2. Ability to perform general math computations.
  3. Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word)
  4. Initiative and accountability skills for work product or service; must be dependable, and willing to assist co-workers as needed.
  5. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism handling sensitive matters.
  6. Ability to read and interpret common operating instructions, procedure manuals and summarized accounts
  7. Good time-management and organizational skills
  8. Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.

    Location: Downtown Seattle
    Duration- 2-3 weeks
    Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM
    40 hours per week
    $19.59 per hour
