GRANTS & ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

Prepare billings for Federal, State, local and private grants.

Prepare multiple accounting entries to move charges onto correct grants or County-funded projects in accordance with County policy.
-
Assist and provide guidance to the sub recipient monitoring team on evaluating the financial data submitted by community partners being funded by the grants.
-
Provide ongoing support to program staff by reconciling ledgers, identifying allowable and unallowable charges in the County's financial system for various grants and preparing financial reports for program staff.

Performs monthly analysis of revenue generated by the department's public health centers.

Cash handling, Filling and general support
GENERAL LEDGER
-
Performs monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliation
-
Understanding of modified accrual basis and year end accruals
-
Perform and understand reconciliation between several side systems
-
Create adjusting journal entries as needed
-
Understand and review income statement accounts
-
Participate in the fiscal close process at year-end by identifying the need for revenue and expenditure accruals
-
Ensure reversal of all accruals in the new year
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
-
Provide support in management P-cards and Gift cards
-
Follow up and ensure closing of open PO’s
-
Process travel expense reimbursement
-
Pay invoices in oracle EBS
-
Performs other financial duties and special projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
|
-
Bachelor degree in accounting, business administration preferred;
-
Experience in Accounts payable, Accounts Receivable and ledger reconciliations
-
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Some knowledge of governmental laws and regulations, such as Federal OMB Circular 2-CFR-200
-
Demonstrated skill in utilizing computerized, manual, and automated financial management systems;
-
Skill in communicating effectively both orally and in writing;
-
Skill in maintaining effective working relationships and working with a variety of individuals representing diverse cultures and backgrounds;
-
Skill in adjusting to changing priorities and handling multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail;
