Day-to-day:
Our organization is looking for a highly motivated and organized Administrative Assistant II to help with a COVID-19 vaccination site serving multiple locations across King County. This person must be adaptable and flexible in performing a variety of duties daily. Some of these duties include greeting and ushering patients, checking patients in through a tablet and/or a mobile device, handling equipment, able to assist with training if needed, and entering correct detailed data through the appropriate technology. This person must be comfortable with working in a medical setting safely. This position at times, might be required to go out to community locations with a Mobile Vaccination Team to community centers, nursing homes, adult family homes, and individual homes. This person must be able to provide the upmost customer service to all patients while being able to appropriately respond to issues accordingly.
Must Haves:
High school graduate or equivalent
Experience working in a customer service position.
Experience working in a data entry position.
Can accurately schedule patients for appointments through multiple systems and technologies such as mobile devices and/or tablets in a professional setting.
Able to work closely with patients who are adults and children and staff to provide information, answer questions, identify needs, and resolve problems.
Recognize emergency situations and immediately report to the proper individuals onsite who will be able to remedy the problem.
May require standing for several hours at a time.
Willing to usher patients that could be in strollers or wheelchairs.
Willing to work outdoors.
Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and have a team player mentality.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), high attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Plusses:
Familiarity with medical terminology
Prior experience utilizing an electronic medical record system and/or an automated scheduling system (EPIC)
Previous medical experience coordinating physician appointments and patient services.
Bilingual skills

Duration: up to 5-6 months
Shift: 9 AM to 6 PM Tuesdy to Saturday
Hours of operation: Will vary depending upon business needs, include evenings and weekends.
Pay: $24.12 per hour
