Junior R&D Project Coordinator Japanese English

Job Title: Project Coordinator

SUMMARY
 
This position is responsible for working with the R&D teams to understand and manage project timelines. They will also assist in communicating project expectations and timelines with Sales and Support departments. As well as be the key point of contact with OEM partners to manage requests and work with stakeholders to prioritize needs.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
 
  • Works with internal teams to identify the key solutions that add value to our offerings.
  • Maintains all projects on a regular basis, adjusting as needed should project priorities or deadlines shift.
  • Able to anticipate project challenges and suggest an action plan to mitigate delays and keep projects on schedule
  • Understands all R&D projects and available resources. Assists in establishing reasonable milestones between design, development, and QA.
  • Ensure proper technical specification documents (specs, blueprints, etc.) are prepared and maintained for every step of the project lifecycle.
  • Communicates project expectations with all project stakeholders throughout the company before, during, and after project completion.
  • Recipient of bug reports from our Sales/Support team. Prioritize, prepare/assign tickets, and keep the reporter informed on progress and delays.
  • Key liaison with OEM partners when it comes to receiving requests, working with client stakeholders to establish priorities, and communicating that back with partners.
  • Create detailed reporting and track metrics of project completion rate throughout the year
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
 
Associate's Degree from a two year college or university, or equivalent from a certified technical college; one to two years of professional project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Can work with evolving requirements
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, can act independently 
  • Experienced in the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Communicates effectively both through verbal and written communication
  • Understands the web application project lifecycle and is able to make recommendations on changes to processes and procedures as needed
  • Attention to detail on all levels from technical requirements to development roadmap, and software quality verification, while still being bale to understand our long-term vision
  • Fluency in Japanese is a plus.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS 
 
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
 
REASONING ABILITY 
 
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Location: Bellevue
Duration: 4 month temp to permanent (if all goes well) Client has great benefits.
Pay: $18- $20 per hour
